Adlercreutz: A society where everyone can succeed

SFP launches its electoral manifesto for the municipal and county elections

The Swedish People’s Party’s target is to conduct its best ever municipal and county elections, in terms of the number of votes received. In the last municipal elections, SFP received 5 per cent of the vote, and the objective is to beat that. In the previous county elections, SFP also enjoyed success, being the most popular party in Ostrobothnia and Eastern Uusimaa. The objective in these elections is to have candidates in more regions of Finland than ever before.

– It is crucial for us to succeed in building a welcoming, safe and inclusive society. We have to secure everyone’s right to good health and social care, regardless of where they live. Our schools must give every child a good start in life, and a safe place to grow and develop. We must also ensure that the elderly are given the care and support they deserve, when they need it. Our mission is to build a good everyday life for everyone, explains SFP’s President, Anders Adlercreutz.

The municipal and county elections concern the ways in which we together build our local communities, as well as the creation of structures that ensure functioning care chains. In tough economic times, value-based decision-making is increasingly important. For SFP the choice is clear: we put people at the centre.

SFP wants to see a Finland with world-class schools, where every child receives opportunities for success, regardless of their background, mother tongue or postcode. We want our municipalities’ finances to provide optimal foundations for everyone to enjoy a good everyday life. Therefore we want municipalities to prosper and create conditions for active trade and industry, investments, and sustainable growth.

SFP wants to see a Finland with functioning health and social care, which provides help when people need it. Where personnel thrive and where we put people, not the system, in focus. Primary health care must be available as close to residents as possible. Waiting lists must be cut down, for example with the use of service vouchers. We want to invest more in digital services and develop primary health care, to ensure more people can be assisted quickly. We want there to be enough ambulances, even in sparsely populated areas, and we want to save our maternity wards.

SFP’s mission in the community is clear: to create a society where everyone can succeed. A society where we build instead of dismantling. Where we collaborate instead of contradicting. Where we work together to bring about a good everyday life.
